Research Grant and Donation Requests

Funding is not contingent on the purchase, use or recommendation of MMI’s products or services.

If this involves a product donation, it is understood and agreed that MMI and the Requestor will not bill any third-party payors for the product provided as part of this program. In addition, all donated product will be marked “for training purposes only. Not for commercial/clinical use.” Finally, after the event, if there is unused donated product, Requestor must arrange with MMI for return, destruction or other action as directed by MMI.

Any payments to third parties using MMI funds must reflect the fair market value of the services performed.

The funds will only be used for the purposes and activities outlined in the grant application and for no other purpose. This is an unrestricted grant, which means that MMI is not placing any conditions or mandates on how funds are spent; however, MMI does prohibit spending the funds on the following:
1. Entertainment or recreation for HCPs.
2. The provision of gifts or items of value other than education items.
3. Lavish meals.

It has disclosed all potential conflicts of interest to MMI.

MMI may be required to report publicly information about the grant or donation under applicable laws, like the U.S. Physician Payments Sunshine Act.

The statements in this application are true, complete, and accurate to the best of its knowledge.

For Educational Grants: there will be no promotional activities permitted in the same room or area as Requestor’s educational activities; and no product advertisements will be permitted in the program room.

It will comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards (if applicable) in the event of receiving an Educational Grant, Charitable Donations, or Independent Research Grant from MMI.
